Southern California Living

Known as the “Gateway to the Pacific”, Marina Del Rey blends cosmopolitan style with all the benefits of living in close proximity to the beach. It’s no wonder Del Rey is one of the fastest growing areas in Los Angeles County. The community is within minutes of gourmet dining, world-class shopping and a wealth of exciting attractions, including Getty Center, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. Closer to home, you can browse Del Rey’s own local boutiques and shopping centers, catch a concert at Lighthouse Plaza, or people-watch at nearby Venice Beach.

Life at the Beach

With the Pacific Ocean as your neighbor, recreation in Del Rey often involves the water. The mild climate enables year-round outdoor activities like biking, running and skating along the coastal pathway that links Del Rey with Malibu to the north and Palos Verdes to the south. Water sports enthusiasts can take advantage of equipment rentals and lessons for windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving, and more at any of the many nearby public beaches. You can even charter a deep-sea fishing or whale watching expedition, if you choose.

Getting Around

Avalon Del Rey is centrally located in West Los Angeles, linked to major freeways, metro rail lines and city bus routes. Convenient to the 405, 10 and 105 freeways, Del Rey offers easy access to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Century City. LAX is a short three miles away, and Marina Del Rey is linked by shuttle to outlying airports, including Burbank and Long Beach. Union Station, one of the last grand passenger train stations in the country, is a half hour away in downtown LA. Of course, the marina offers exceptional boat access, if you’re so inclined.
